Yeshwantrao Chauhan College of Engineering, Nagpur is celebrating it's Silver jubliee year and hence on the occasion the YCCE Alumni Association has organised a Mega Alumni meet on 27 Th Dec 2008 at The college premises from 5 PM onwards. Prof S.S.Deshpande & Prof.S.G.Mahakalkar have appealed to the alumni members to participate in large numbers along with their family members.
Noted Ghazal singer Shishir Parkhie will be presenting a live Ghazal concert on the occasion from 7 PM onwards. Parkhi will be presenting all time faviorate Ghazals of popular ghazal singers like Jagjit Singh, Ghulam Ali, Mehndi Hassan, Pankaj Udhas etc. He will also present some Ghazals from his new album AHTERAAM - A tribute to the legendary poets, recently released by T- series recently. Shishir is also a past student of the college and now is an accomplished Singer and Music Director. He has been performing live Ghazal concerts at various places all over India and abroad.His recent performance at Nairobi, Kenya, Africa was very well appreciated.He is a graded artist of All India Radio and has several albums to his credit released by T- Series, Venus, Times etc. Shishir has composed music for various Television serials and lend his voice for several Jingles also.
