Press conference on release of Ghazal album "Roomaniyat" was held in Nagpur at Cream Corner Restaurant, Ramdaspeth. Dharmendra Bandwar, owner of Cream Corner introduced the artists & thereafter Dr. Manoj Salpekar briefed the Media persons on the making of Roomaniyat. The album released by Mystica Music was completely produced in Nagpur. Shailesh Dani who has done the Keyboard programming, Sound Design & Music arrangement for "Roomaniyat" described about the various recording facilities available in Nagpur.

An audio CD with soul stirring ghazals of love, longing and romanticism titled "Roomaniyat" by renowned vocalist Shishir Parkhie was recently launched worldwide by Mystica Music. Shishir Parkhie is a noted composer & singer from the Orange City & this is his third Ghazal album after the earlier successful releases  " Ahteraam"& "Once More Ghazals" which were also released worldwide on T-Series. Like in his earlier albums, Shishir has himself composed all the nine tracks of "Roomaniyat" as well. Mirza Ghalib: A Musical Tribute by Shishir Parkhie on Doordarshan

Doordarshan Kendra, Nagpur will telecast a special program " Neend kyun raat bhar nahin aati ?" based on the legendary Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib which will be presented by noted Ghazal Singer & Composer, Shishir Parkhie on Nov 10,2011 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

The famous Ghazals of Mirza Ghalib freshly composed & rendered by Shishir Parkhie for the program are: 1. Hum Rashk ko 2. Rone se aur 3. Har ek baat pe 4. Na tha kuch to 5. Koi umeed

The executive producer for Doordarshan is Mr. Nissar Khan.

Sajda: A Memorable Ghazal Tribute to Jagjit Singh by Shishir Parkhie

Jagjit- Chitra Ghazal Manch, Nagpur had recently organised a special program "Sajda" to pay tributes to the legendary singer, Jagjit Singh presented by noted Ghazal singer, Shishir Parkhie.

Shishir started the show with a very popular bhajan " Hey Ram, Hey Ram" followed by the nazm " Baat niklegi to phir".The Parkhie rendered "Hoshwalon ko khabar kya", " Badi naazuk hai ye manzil", "Kal choudavin ki raat thi" & then a medley of his popular Ghazals from films - " Hothon se chhu lo tum", "Tumko dekha to" , "Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho" & " Jhuki jhuki si nazar"

The second half started with Parkhie rendering " Huzoor aapka bhi", " Sarakti jaye hain " then "Thukarao ab ki pyaar karo" which was penned by Late Shahid Kabir who also was from Nagpur city. His son Sameer Kabir shared his memories with the legendary singer.

Close friend of Jagjit Singh, Sriratan Daga also shared his memories.

Another close friend Narendra Sateeja also shared some of his memories with the legendary Jagjit Singh.

Special guest Dr Vinay Waikar being welcomed by Kaustubh Dixit

The show organised at the scientific Society hall, Laxmi Nagar, Nagpur was full to the capacity.
