Saregama India ltd., formerly The Gramophone Company of India (H.M.V) will be releasing the latest Ghazal album by Shishir Parkhie titled SIYAHAT- A journey through emotions. All eight Ghazals have been composed & sung by Shishir Parkhie & the poet is Koshish. The album would be released worldwide in digital & audio CD format on June 21st, 2013. Mijaaz Raat Ka penned by Ajay Pande 'Sahaab' is a reverent acknowledgement of love as the muse for literary pursuits. A true lover can draw inspiration from everything all around, as everything appears to be an embodiment of the beloved. 


Bhala Mane Bura Mane penned by Aninda K. Chakraborty ‘Koshish’ is a romantic reflection of the delicate harmony of love. The poignant paradox of desire and devotion, presence and pursuit, pleasure and pain, is expressed through the voice of a yearning heart.

Sajda: A Memorable Ghazal Tribute to Jagjit Singh by Shishir Parkhie

Jagjit- Chitra Ghazal Manch, Nagpur had recently organised a special program "Sajda" to pay tributes to the legendary singer, Jagjit Singh presented by noted Ghazal singer, Shishir Parkhie.

Shishir started the show with a very popular bhajan " Hey Ram, Hey Ram" followed by the nazm " Baat niklegi to phir".The Parkhie rendered "Hoshwalon ko khabar kya", " Badi naazuk hai ye manzil", "Kal choudavin ki raat thi" & then a medley of his popular Ghazals from films - " Hothon se chhu lo tum", "Tumko dekha to" , "Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho" & " Jhuki jhuki si nazar"

The second half started with Parkhie rendering " Huzoor aapka bhi", " Sarakti jaye hain " then "Thukarao ab ki pyaar karo" which was penned by Late Shahid Kabir who also was from Nagpur city. His son Sameer Kabir shared his memories with the legendary singer.

Close friend of Jagjit Singh, Sriratan Daga also shared his memories.

Another close friend Narendra Sateeja also shared some of his memories with the legendary Jagjit Singh.

Special guest Dr Vinay Waikar being welcomed by Kaustubh Dixit

The show organised at the scientific Society hall, Laxmi Nagar, Nagpur was full to the capacity.

Towards the end Shishr Parkhie rendered " Kabhi yun bhi to ho", " Shaam se aankh mein " & "Chitthi na koi sandes"
